Innovative construction planning of the Berlin Schiffbauerdamm bridge with BIM

• Age-related damage necessitates bridge construction in Berlin

• Sustainable planning security with Building Information Modeling

• A better overview of quality, costs and time frame

At the Berlin shipbuilder dam bridge, built in 1913, age-related damage to the entire structure was found, during routine building inspections. That was the reason for a study of possible variants for a replacement of the overpass over the river Panke. Dorsch was commissioned by the Senate Department for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection with this innovative project. Dorsch is responsible for execution planning using the Building Information Modeling (BIM) working method.
