Dorsch Enhances Access to Natural Gas for Bangladesh

Bangladesh has a fast growing economy with 7.3% GDP growth. For Bangladesh, natural gas plays an important role in the economy.

Titas Gas Field is a major contributor, providing more than 520 MMCFD (million cubic feet per day). Asian Development Bank is financing this natural gas infrastructure and efficiency improvement project in Bangladesh. Under this project, Bangladesh Gas Fields Company (BGFCL) will install wellhead compressors for a stable gas flow from Titas Gas Field.

DC India was selected to conduct reservoir studies, determine design parameters of compressors and facilities, work out a master plan for a piping and instrument diagram and the preparaton of a bidding process to select a turnkey contractor. This contractor will undertake detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and services for Operation and Maintenance and Defect Liability Period.

Dorsch is also entrusted with supervision of erection and commissioning activities of the turnkey contractor. After the reservoir study, basic engineering design was completed and bidding document for turnkey services of reciprocating gas engine driven compressors has being prepared.
